Alyssa Thomas, a forward for the Phoenix Mercury, was suspended for one game after the WNBA retroactively classified her contact with Caitlin Clark during a matchup against the Indiana Fever as a Flagrant Foul 2, despite the play not being called a foul in real time. Following the suspension, Thomas said she has been subjected to death threats and racial slurs on social media.
