Audi CEO Binotto Challenges FIA Measurement, ADUO kWh Basis Controversial

Audi F1 chief Mattia Binotto criticises the FIA’s power‑unit measurement method and argues that basing the ADUO system on kilowatt‑hours is unfair. He points out that the current assessment only accounts for the internal combustion engine, ignoring the contribution of the MGU‑K and battery storage.

Binotto also suggests that chassis‑related ADUO benefits should be granted to lagging teams to level the playing field. His comments could prompt a review of the formula used to allocate performance advantages in Formula 1.
