Cadillac F1 Suffers Double Retirement at 2026 Austrian Grand Prix
Cadillac F1 suffered a devastating blow at the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix when both of their drivers were forced to abandon the race. Sergio Perez retired due to smoke in his car, while teammate Valtteri Bottas saw his monoplaza catch fire, ending his race prematurely.
Neither driver managed to complete even five laps of the scheduled 71-lap contest at the Red Bull Ring. The American team continues to face severe technical difficulties in its debut Formula 1 season.
