Valencia, facing scrutiny as defender Eray Cömert becomes the club’s sole participant in the 2026 World Cup, highlights disputed FIFA payment regulations for loaned players. Cömert will represent Switzerland in the tournament, entitling his club to a daily €9,300 stipend.

Because he spent the previous season on loan at Real Valladolid, half of that amount is allocated to the Spanish side. The split cuts Valencia’s expected revenue by 50 percent.
