IMPI says World Cup 2026 broadcasts won’t trigger business closures

Bars, restaurants and shopping centers across Mexico had been worried about possible closures during the tournament. IMPI clarified that its mandate does not include ordering shutdowns for World Cup broadcasts, limiting interventions to copyright complaints.
