Joao Pedro suffers ACL injury at Atletico San Luis

Atletico San Luis have been dealt a major blow after their two-time top scorer Joao Pedro sustained a serious knee injury during a pre-season friendly against Queretaro. The club confirmed through an official statement that the Brazilian forward suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Although Joao Pedro managed to leave the pitch walking with the support of teammates and medical staff, he is expected to be sidelined for the rest of 2026, leaving the club without their star striker ahead of the Apertura 2026 campaign.
