Kate Douglass Reclaims Women 50m Freestyle World Record at Pan Pacs

American swimmer Kate Douglass has reclaimed the world record in the women's 50-meter freestyle at the Pan Pacific Championships. Douglass previously held the global mark for nine days during the month of June.

Her national teammate Gretchen Walsh had subsequently surpassed that time to take the top spot. With an outstanding performance in her latest race, Douglass once again established herself at the summit of the discipline.
