Max Verstappen Withdraws After Crash at Silverstone Grand Prix

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen suffered a severe crash at Silverstone with just four laps to go, forcing him to retire from the race. He had climbed to third place and was closing in on a podium, which would have narrowed the points gap to Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.

Verstappen explained via radio that the rear wing flap did not close fully, a problem he also experienced in Austria, making the issue dangerous. The failure relegated him to seventh in the championship standings.
