Murcia Court Rules Heir Must Reimburse Funeral Costs

The Provincial Court of Murcia has ruled that an heir must reimburse funeral expenses paid by a third party if no prior agreement exists. The Fourth Section of the court established that without a prior accord, burial costs fall upon the heir.

In this specific case, the heir was ordered to repay over 4000 euros to a family member who covered the funeral costs. The defendant claimed there was an agreement regarding care duties, but the court found no evidence to support this claim.
