Rayo Vallecano Secures Nobel Mendy Permanently

Rayo Vallecano exercised its purchase clause, paying €3. 5 million for 80 % of Nobel Mendy’s rights and completing the defender’s permanent transfer before the June 30 deadline.

Mendy featured in 24 official matches during the 2025‑26 campaign, exceeding the 45‑minute minimum in each appearance. Although the primary trigger of 25 matches was not met, the club invoked a secondary option to secure the deal.

The Senegalese centre‑back brings a powerful physical presence and has grown into a key role under coach Íñigo Pérez. Rayo aims to solidify its back line for the upcoming season with this acquisition.
