Sporting de Gijon Nears Deal for Defender Emanuel Gularte
Sporting de Gijon has made significant progress in signing Uruguayan center back Emanuel Gularte on loan from Mexican side Puebla. The negotiations accelerated this week as club executives were present in Mexico for the World Cup.
Executive President Jose Riestra monitored the talks to find the optimal formula for the transfer. Gularte currently has one year remaining on his contract with the Mexican club.
The Spanish side is looking to bolster its defensive line with the experienced Uruguayan. Both parties are working to finalize the loan agreement quickly.
