Sweden Hold World Cup Training at Stadium Undergoing Major Renovation

Images of Sweden training in front of rubble and a partially demolished grandstand quickly circulated on social media. The venue is undergoing a massive multi-year renovation worth approximately 182 million dollars.

The East Stand, seen behind the training session, is being demolished and rebuilt as part of the project. The stadium remains fully operational, with construction carefully phased to allow continued safe use of certain areas.

The renovation will add a new roof, expanded premium seating, additional suites and upgraded facilities, with work scheduled to continue through 2028.
